One
of the foundation’s ongoing fundraising events is the Brick Walk of Fame
located in the Rita Woodward Environmental Nature Park, northeast
corner of the Westbury campus. Beautiful inscribed granite bricks are
around the flag pole and the “W” planter.
Donors wishing for a modest memory can purchase an engraved brick 4x4 ($75), 8x8 ($100) or 8x16 ($500) or even a bronze plaque ($1,000). This is your opportunity to leave a lasting legacy to the school and to contribute to the future education of Westbury High School students. You gift is tax-deductible and all proceeds are used for the Foundation’s scholarship fund. The Foundation will be adding benches and tables to the park. You can also make a contribution for these items. You may also contribute to the Marilyn Kretzer Scholarship using the donation link on the left. Emma Goldman once said, “If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.” Westbury High School has been and continues to be a no-tuition resource for thousands of successful Houstonians of every race, religion, sex and social status. Help us continue to build on the story by participating in the Friends of WHS foundation. For more information, contact the Friends of WHS Foundation, P. O. Box 31368, Houston, TX 77231-1368 or email: rwoodward2@att.net or Kathleen@sparkpark.org., Many thanks to all of our contributors. Please continue your support!
